NATIONAL REGISTER

Every day brings more trouble to the Government Statistician and his assistants with the schedules which careless or flurried people leave incomplete. Wherever practicable, the person concerned will receive , another schedule, with a_ time limit for the proper filling. The most troublesome mnn is he who gives merely the name of a street as his address. Persons puzzled by any of the questions on the schedule are again requested earnestly to apply for aid (free) at a post office, tourist agency, or office of a registrar of births, marriages, and deaths. The onus of a correct completion of a schedule not later than 9th November is on c;ach man of registration age, and carelessness or neglect may bring a heavy penalty. This week's parade of the Kelbum-Karori-Northland section of the National Reserve was held in conjunction with the Thormlon section on Kelbnrn Park. The combination of the two companies enabled a very interesting lesson in company drill to be given. Further combined parades will be held on dates to be fixed.
