AID FOR SERVIA GREECE UNDER NO OBLIGATION
FEEUNS OF DISTRUST DEVELOPING KING FERDINAND'S MANIFESTO BILGARIAN COAST BLOCKADED SITUATION GRAVE IN RUMANIA fING WARNED OF REVOLUTION IMPORTANT SUCCESS ON BRITISH FRONT Greece in her reply to Servia's appeal for aid declares that as Servia broke off relations wilh Bulgaria without consulting her, she is under no obligation, by reason of the Serbo-Grecian. treaty, which, is purely Balkan, to lend military aid. It is to the interest of both Servia and Greece ' . that she should remain neutral. The Times declares that this declaration 1 * of policy does not commend itself, and a more satisfactory explanation is awaited. The Morning Post states that the logical reply to Greece is to treat her as an enemy. Greece has to make good or break her word. A German story is that the King of Greece has sent a draft of an agreement to the King of Bulgaria. King Ferdinand has issued a manifesto in which he declares that Bulgaria's cause is just and sacred, that Servia has been a treacherous • neighbour, and in face of the advice of her friends attacked Bulgarian territory. He calls on the nation and army to deliver their enslaved brethren in Macedonia from the Servian yoke. The campaign in Eumania in favour of armed intervention is assuming grave proportions, and the King has been warned of the danger of a revolution jf he hesitates much longer. Russia denies the report that she intends to violate Rumanian neutrality. Official reports of the fighting in Servia describes it as of the most terrible character. A blockade of the Bulgarian coast has been officially proclaimed by the Allies.
