MINERS' CONFERENCE
(it nusurc-Muss associates.) CHRISTOHTJRCH, 10th Sopt. _ A conference of delegates from the different miners' unions of the Do- i minion opened at the Trades Hall at 10 sL-m. to-d»y. It was decided not to admit the press. Members of the conference were welcomed to Christchurch by Mr. C. Rena, president of the Canterbury Trades and, Labour Council. The Puponga Miners' Union, by 64 votes to 5, decided to affiliate with the Miners' Federation.
