The "Bill provides for the extension of the limit upon which advances can. be made upon wills awaiting probate. At present the' Savings Bank is allowed to advance £20 upon estates awaiting probate, and the Bill proposes to make the limit £100. THE FINANCIAL DEBATE. • On Friday last the dinner adjournment interrupted a debate on the report of the Harbour Bills Committee on Mr J. Payne's Bill, the Factories Act Amendment Bill, No. 2. The report was that the Bill be not proceeded with, and Mr. Payne had moved that it be referred back to the Committee for further consideration. Thia debate" would have held precedence this afternoon, bnt the Prime Minister moved in the direction of giving "the Financial Debate precedence, and this was decided upon.
