Rain during the night firmed the store sheep market, and prices rose about 2s per head. Fat sheep opened at high prices, a Wellington buyer operating freely. Fat cattle sold at about last week's rates. Store Sheep. — Good hoggets, IBs 9d to 17s ; fair hoggets, 12s 3d to 15s 6d ; inferior shorn hoggets, 4s lOd to 8s 3d j six and eight-tooth wethere, to 22s Id; two and four-tooth wethers, 17s 6d to 21s Id ; merino wethers, to 7s 2d ; six and eighttooth ewes, to 22s 9d ; cull six and eighttooth ewes, 10s 3d; two-tooth ewes, 19s 9d to 20s Bd. 1 Fat Sheep. — Extra prime wethers, to 42s 6d; prime wethers, 26s to 38s; ordinary wethers, 20s to 25s 6d ; merino wethers, 16s 3d to 255; extra -prime ewes, to 375; prime ewes, 24s J to 345;medium ewes, 19s to 23s 6d; light and inferior, 13s 8d to 18s 6d ; best hoggets, 19s to 24s 9d ; others,- 14s 6d to 18s 6d. Fat Cattle.-— Extra prime steers, to £2 2s 6d ; ordinary steers, £7 5s to £12 ; extra prime heifers, to £16 15s ; ordinary, heifers, £5 2s 6d to £10; extra prime cows, to £16 ss ; ordinary cows, £6 to £9 ss; price of beef per 1001b, 33s to 525. Store Cattle. — Fifteen to eighteenmonths, £2 to £2 16s; two-year steers, £3 17s 6d and £4 15s ; two-year heifers, £3 10s to £3 17s 6d ; two and a half-year steers, £5 to £5 15s ; three-year steers passed at £7 15s ; three-year heifers, £5 6s ; dry cows, 30s to £5 15s ; .dairy cows, £3 to £9 15s. Pigs.— -Choppers, 60s to 119s 6d ; extra heavy baconers, 72s 6d to 775; light ' baconers, 60s to 70s ; price per Ib, 6id to ■ 6Jd.
