A RECORD IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, 18th July. Last week's recruiting 1 beat all previous records; 2240 enlisted. A business committee has been formed from both, sides of tho House of , Assembly to Assist in thti recruiting
and Wado (Leader of the Opposition) will speak at tho principal .centre* -in tho metropolis and the country. AN UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS. MELBOURNE. This. Day. The recruiting campaign has ended. I* resulted in 13,809 men handing in their names. The Minister for Defence (Senator Pearce) said that though the campaign was an unqualified success men wnereneeded even in greater numbers. He was now organising a new brigade fou active service.
