WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. WELLINGTON CITY BASIN RESERVE BILL. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it ia the intention of the Wellington City Council to introduce, in the ensuing Session of Parliament, the Wellington City Basin Reserve Bill. Tho objects that the said Bill is intended -to effect are: — 1. To provide for the division of the Ba-sin Reserve into 3 areas, namely: (1) An area of about 6| acres on the western side to be used as a 6port3 ground (2) An area of about 1 2-6 acres on tho east of the last area fc>r a street, on which a tramway is to be constructed ' (3) An area on the eastern side of the Basin Reserve of 1 1-5 acres for a garden and children's playground. 2. To authorise the Council to lay out the Basin Reserve into the three ar^as above described for the purposes mentioned. 3. To authorise the Council to construct on the sports ground above referred to. a playing ground suitable for cricket of not less. thaJi 5 acres in extent, and to provide, a pavilion and adequate accommodation, for players and seating accommodation for 1500 spectators. 4. To authorise the Council to construct, on tho second area of land above re- • ferred to, a double line of tramways when the land vests in tho Council for street purposes, and to provide that the tramway so constructed ehall form part of tramways authorised by Order-in-Council for the Wellington City Tramways, dateot the 27th October, 1902. 5. To provide that .no charge shall be made for admission to the area, to be used for a garden and children's playground. 6. To provide that the title to the Basin Reserve shall be subject to the pro- \ ibions of the proposed Act and any Other Act atfecting the Reserve, but otherwise shall be ratified and confirmed. A copy of this Bill and the -necessary plan of the land affected have been deposited ih the Magistrate's Court Office, Lambton-quay, Wellington, and a cojiy of the said Bill and^a copy of the said j plan have also been deposited at the Town Clerk's Office, Town Hall, Cubastreet, Wellington, and are there open for inspection for the pcrjod of three full weeks from the urst publication hereof.
