ENGAGEMENT ON THE ISONZO AIR RAID NEAR GORZ

GENEVA, 15th July. Laibach telegrams state that masses of Italians on tho left bank of the Isonsso have been in contact with the enemy since Tuesday. An Italian advance between Plavaand Gorz is reported, while the struggle at Eoveretto is assuming great proportions. An Italian air squadron on Monday raided an encampment near Gorz, and dropped 1000 bombs. All returned safely, AUSTRIAN'S STUBBORN RESISTANCE (Times and Sydney Sun Services.) LONDON, 15th July, The Italians made two fierce attacks on Monte Sabino, and carried several lines of trenches. The Austrian resistance is terribly stubborn, and their defences perfect. 'They have actually tunnelled subterannean passages, to enable them to throw reinforcements quickly at any point desired.
