INDIAN ASPIRATIONS.
A remarkable speech was made by the Indian progressive leader, Mr Gandhi,' when unveiling at Bangalore a memorial to the late Mr. Gokhale. Mr. Gandhi disclaimed credit for anything he had done, attributing- his service to the influence of Mr. Gokhale and urged them not to spoil their public men by too much demonstration, but to translate* their spirit of appreciation into acts of sincere service.
