BOXING ASSOCIATION
CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE HELD AT PETONE. The Wellington Boxing Association met last evening, Mr. R. W. M*Villy being in the chair. Advice was received from the New Zealand Council that the following weights had been declared for all amateur championships : —Bantam 8.2, f enther 9.0, light 10.0, welter 10.9, middle 11.4. As an application by the Wellington Football Association for permission to hold an exhibition of boxing on the Basin Reserve to-day did not comply with certain regulations and requirements the request waa reluctantly declined, Tlie Chairman moved that the association's amateur boxing championships be . held at Petono this year.
