Charged before Mr. t>. G. A. Cooper, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court, this morning, with having escaped from the Salvation Army Home, May Wills pleadea guilty. She had been sent there a« a condition of her sentence by the Supreme Court, and as the Migistrata had no jurisdiction to deal with her, she wa« remanded for a week. . Charles Daniels and Walter Baldwin, charged with having left their cabs un» attended, were each fined sb, with costs (7s). Arthur Alexander was fined ss, with 7s costs, for having driven a motor-car after sunset without a tail light. Harold Belworthy pleaded guilty to having ridden at more than four mile» an hour across Manners-street and Cubastreet. He collided with a motor cycle, 1 but no damage was done. He was fined 10s, with 7s costs." For having left his motor-car unattended, Charles Barrington was fined Ss, with 7s coats. The day after the fowls wero missed the accused Millanta offered to sell five pairs of fowls and a leg of pork to Mr. Bertanes, who accepted tha offer. When the fowls were delivered Millanta was faced with a policeman. The hearing of the case was adjourned till to-morrow morning, to enable the ac» cused to call evidence. Thomas Stevens did not appear to answer a charge of having behaved in c violent and offensive manner in a rai> way carriage at Lambton Station, 'i. warrant was issued for his arrest.
