EXPLANATION ABOUT AN HONOUR.
COPENHAGEN, 22nd June. An official Berlin message states fhat no Order of Merit ha« been conferred on the submarine captain for the sinking of the Lusitania. Commander Hersing, of U2l, received th© Order as a reward for his five thousand kilometre trip io the Dardanelles, which resulted in the sinking of two British warships.
