"MONEY NO OBJECT"
A MISTAKEN VIEW. (TIMES AND STDVFY «TO SERTICBS.) LONDON. 18th June. Replying in the House of Commons to a suggestion that the working classes should be given an opportunity to share in war loans, Mr. R. M'Kenua. Chancellor of the Exchequer, said he did' not endorse the doctrine that money was no object. in the war. If that got abroad, they might expect contractors to raise their pricesand Government workmen to ask for higher pay than for private work. They must remember that the resources of the country were not inexhaustible.
