LOCAL AND GENERAL ♦ As most of the sports fixtures will be resumed to-morrow, The Post's Sports Edition, will appear again to-morrow night. Reports of the various games and horse racing, as well as the latest items in connection with the war, will be published. The Rugby matches are likely to prove most interesting, the games on the Athletic Park being Athletic v. Oriental and Selwyn v. University. The other senior teams are also well matched. A special attraction at the Basin Reserve will be the Wellington Football Association's gala, at which there will be varied entertainment for all. Reports of hockey and other football matches will also be published in the Sports Edition. To-day is the hundredth anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. A motion a* follows is to be moved at the next meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board : — "That, in view of the prospective developments of this port in the near future, the board now resolve that immediate steps be taken to consider the question of providing the port with an up-to-date dock ; that enquiries be made as to the cost of a floating dock to operate on vessels up to 1000 tons dead weight, the dock to be placed in Lambton Harbour."
