HOURS AT PUBLIC LIBRARIES

At its meeting last night the City Council decided that in future the publiclibraries be closed on Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Good Fridayj Boxing Day, and Easter Monday only, and that on other statutory holidays Sunday hours, with an extension to 10 p.m., be observed. The evening hours at the Public Library were altered from 6.30 to 9 p.m. to 7to 9.30 p.m. ; Sunday duty is to be taken by the assistants in turn.
