At tba monthly meeting of th« Wellington Acclimatisation Society tho resignation of tho Curator of tho Game Farm and Deer Park (Mr. H Rose) was accoptod. Mr. Ross is taking up his residenco in Auckland _ for health reasons. Ho has been exceptionally successful in the rearing of pheasants for many years past, and mombers expressed keen regret at his departure. Mr. C. H. Bould, the society's ranger, has beon appointed curator at tho Game Farm, and applications are being invited for the position of ranger.
