MEASLES AT TRENTHAM
HOSPITAL ARRANGEMENTS. - The authorities have been embarrassed lately by an outbreak ©of measles at Tientham, and have been obliged to take special steps to cope with it. There having been a certain amount of overcrowding at the Plague Hospital at Berhampore, where Trent -am cases have been taken," the authorities have now secured the use of another ward at the General Hospital. The cases will be attended by officers of the medical corps, but in other* respects the military wards will remain under the control of the Hospital Medical Superintendent. Under the arrangements now made, men sent in from' camp suffering from measles will be admitted to the Geneial Hospital, and when convalescent to the Plague Hospital. After--wards they will go into isolation quarters at Trentham to recover their health and strength before resuming the arduous work of training. i At Trentham all possible steps are being taken against the spread of ihe disease, all suspects and contacts being isolated immediately *any case is discovered. CHRONIC PATIENTS GO TO OHIRO HOME. In order to provide extra accommodation for measle patients from Trentham Cam,p, a number of female chronic patients are to be removed from the Wellington Hospital to the Ohiro Home for treatment. There are over one hundred military cases of measles.
