" Suppose that one million workers made up their minds to produce 20 per cent, more than in peace time, and that they succeed in doing so," says Mr, Chiozza Money in the British Weekly. "In that case, their work will he equal to the product of 1,200,000 workers in normal times. That is to say, the one million workers will have compensated the nation for the absence of two hundred thousand men who are fighting for us over the water. Each man becomes one and a fraction. When we remember how many millions of workers there are in this country, we sec that it is practically possible for them, by temporary extra exertion, to help tho nation ygi^wgtcruvUy indeed.,' '"
