Wo raptured a thousand men in counter-attacks.' i STORMING THE LAST POSITIONS I VIENNA, 4th June. Official. — "The Germans stormed the last of the Russian positions north , of Przemysl last Wednesday night. They entered from the north. Our 10th Corps entered from West and south a few hours later. The attack on our ally's sector north of Stryj ia progressing successfully." RUSSIA'S OFFICIAL REPORT PEIAtOGRAD, 4th. June. Official.— The battle in Galicia continued on Tuesday with undiminished desperation on the whole of the Vistula-Nadvorna front. Our troops on the left bank of the Lower San pierced the enemy's line on Wednesday, and captured a fortified position in the Rudnik district, where we, took four thousand prisoners. Our offensive on the whole front to the mouth pf the Wislokai is developing successfully. As Przemysl, owing to the condition of its artillery and works, whioh the Austrians destroyed before capitulation, was admittedly incapable of defending itself, its retention only served our purpose until our possession of the positions surrounding the town northward had facilitdted our operations on the San. When the enemy captured Jaroslav and Radymnp, arid spread along, the right bank, the maintenance of those positions forced us to fight on an unequal and very difficult front, increasing it by twenty-two miles and subjecting us • to the concentrated fire "of the enemy's nnmerous heavy guns. We almost completely annihilated the 2nd, 3rdi and 4th Tyrol Regiments [westward of Rudnik. The enemy on the Bzura on Tuesday used gas largely; but', the wind changing, blew the gas back to the enemy's trenches, and a large number of Germans emerged and ran crouching along the wire pn the front, o.ur fire decimating them.
