OFFICIAL PROGRAMME
At last night's meeting of the General Executive the following draft programme of the Carnival was adopted :—: — June 2nd.— Pianoforte recital, large Town Hall, Baxter Buckley. June 3rd. — Proceesion to Park, commencing at Government Buildings at 10 a.m. Sports programme. Rugby football match and national dances, etc., at Park during afternoon; side ehov/s and stalls. Grand entertainment at Park in evening, including Darktown Fire Brigade, * picture shows, and vaudeville. June 4th. — Children's Day at Park in afternoon, and Grand Carnival in Park at night. June sth.— Procession repeated and great Brass Band Contest in Park during afternoon. Caraival at Park at night. ' Juno 7th to 13th. — Various entertainments on behalf of Queen candidates. June 14th to 21et. — Carnival Bazaar, large Town Hall, every evening, and special entertainments in the Concert Chamber, including three nights of musical and elocutionary competitions. June 22nd and 23rd.— -Grand Maori entertainment. June 24th.— Candida-tea' addresses. June 26th.— Closing of the poll. June 28th. — Coronation of Carnival Queen in Town Hall in the evening. June 29th. — Coronation ceremony repeated, and special matinee performance for school children. June 30th. — Royal ball. July Ist. — Combined schools' concert. July 2nd. — Combined schools' concert. July 3rd. — Coronation repeated at Newtown Park in afternoon and at Town Hall in evening.
