A TREMENDOUS EXPERIMENT
"NATIONAL SERVICE" SHOULD BE ITS WATCHWORD. (IIMBS AND SVDNBT SON SERVICES.) (Received May 28, 8 a.m.) LONDON, 27th May. The Times, in a leader, says : — Much depends on the spirit of individual Ministers. Faced, with the new situation, the Cabinet is a tremendous experiment, and we can only trust and believe that its self-sacrifice, patriotism, aJid readiness to sink the small issues which were conspicuous features in its formation will carry it safely through the far greater trials which are ahead. The future depends on the courage of the new Government to rise to the greatest opportunity in history. We hope its watchword will be "national service, in its broadest sense."
