MURDER CHARGE
CASE AGAINST NORMAN KEALS. PRISONER'S MENTAL CONDITION. (81 TIIRORAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Norman Edwin Keals was charged at the Supremo Court with the murder on or about Bth February, of his sister-in-law, Edith Emma Keals, and her infant child, at Opuatia, near Onewhero. Prisoner, when asked to plead, answered in a firm voice, "not guilty." In opening the case the Crown Proseou> tor eaid there would be no attempt made to deny the acts, but the jury would bo Called upon to direct closest attention to tho mental condition of the prisoner at the time of tho crime, and whether that was such as to make him responsible for his acts.
