AUXILIARY STEAMER BLOWN UP
SEVENTY-SEVEN DOCKERS PERISH. (Received May 28, 1.18 p.m.) LONDON, 27th May. The auxiliary steamer ' Princess Irene was accidentally blown up in Sheerness Harbour. Seventy-seven dockers perished. [The Princess Irene was of 6000 tons, and was built only last year. She was* owned by the Canadian-Pacific Railway Company.]
