LODGE MEETINGS
ArolbDruid Bro. W. Labone presided over the quarterly summoned meeting of the Mel-rose Lodge, No. 66, U.A.0.D., held in All Saint*' Clubroom on Tuesday evening. "Visitors present were P.D.P Bro. Hargreaves (Excelsior), J?.A. Bro. Beere (Coronation), and P. A. BrO. I. Clark (Matai Lodge), Nelson, who is an old member, and was the first P. A. of Melrote Lodge. It was decided to hold the 500 tournament for the shield (versus Loyal Kilbirnie Lodge of Oddfellows) on 22rrd June. Resignations were received from P. A. Bros. CroUcher au'd Williams is trustees, also Bro. Dillon as auditor, and a vote of thanks was accorded to all for their services. J.P.A. Bro. Raven reported upon the recent, official visit to Island Bay Lodge, and P. A. Bro. Everett Upon; the meeting of lodge delegates' re the proposed Druidic procession and detnonst ration, in aid of patriotic funds on a dute to be ftxfed. It was decided to form a commrtJ-ee to devise waya and means of forming a td-bloan. Subscription a-eootfnte amounting to £5 5s for brothers On active- service were passed for payment, _also various other amounts. Palmer and Raven; Trustees, Bros. Palmer, Raven, Hall, Labone, ami Tullett; Press Rep., Bro.S. L. Hall ; Social Stewards, Bros. Raven find Middleton; Dispensary Delegate, Brp._ Labone; R.A.C. Delegate, Bro. Williams. Btos. . Palmer and Labond rtero elected Trustees. Th© remaining officers wil! be elected and installed next lodge night. s
