INDECENT PUBLICATION

In common with the Mftgistratep afc Auckland and Napier, Mr. D G. A. Cooper ha* ruled that certain copies of the Winning Post Funny Stories and Jokes are indecent publications within the definition of the statute. Hie Worship gave judgment this afternoon in the caeee brought by the police against Alexander Ferguson, Walter Osbome, and Albert William Organ, each of whom were charged with selling the Winning Post books. Fines of £1 each ana cost* were imposed.
