WEATHER OUTLOOK
Cool and changeable weather has prevailed in New Zealand for the past twenty-four hours, and showers have fallen in many districts. Moderate to strong westerly winds have predominated, and the barometer has risen slightly. These conditions are likely to continue for a day or two, westerly winds changing to south-west. A very cold night is probable everywhere, with frosts inland.' Next week is likely to open with strong westerly winds, and Mr. Bates says we may expect them to change to the southward. The prospects for the King's Birthday are not too good.
