TURKS' HEAVY LOSSES A FIERCE BATTLE
ALLIES CAPTURE A BATTALION. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyrlchy (Received April 30, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 28th ApriL Greece reports a fierce battle on Wednestfay at Suvla Bay. / The Turks suffered heavy losses. The Allies captured an entire battalion. LOCATION OF THE ALLIED TROOPS LONG AND HEAVY BOMBARDMENT (Received April 30, 8.30 a.m.) ATHENS, 29th April. British forces are operating on the European coast and the French on the Asiatic side of the Dardanelles. Tuesday's bombardment lasted twelve hours. It -was mainly directed against the Kilid Bahr forts, on the European ade of the southern end of The Narrows.
