MEAT FOR IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT

PRICES NOT YET FIXED. SYDNEY, 24th March. Mr. J. H. Cann. Colonial Treasurer, states that the Government has not fixed the prices of the meat to be supplied to the Imperial Government. The ruling prices were submitted to the Imperial authorities, who authorised the boafd to secure supplies at Queensland rates. These pi-ices had been fixed for a month, and would pi'obably be altered at the end of that time. Subsequent instructions authorised the board to fix the prices.
