DARDANELLES OPERATIONS
LIKE A GAME OF DRAUGHTS (Times and Sydney Sun Service.) LONDON, 23rd March. The Times, in a leader, states that the Dardanelles' operation resembles a game of draughts. Many pieces may disappear from the board before the game is won. The price is high, but there will be no cheap victories in this war. Forcing the Dardanelles is perhaps the most formidable operation ever undertaken in naval Warfare.
