Six confectioners were fined 10s each and costs this morning for selling adulterated food within the meaning of the. Act. The food in question was ice» cream, which, according to the regulations, has to contain not less than 10 per cent, of milk-fat in the form of cream. Small penalties were imposed, as the cases were brought to serve as a warning. It was not suggested that the ice-cream contained any deleterious substances.
