ALLEGED SHOOTING OF WOUNDED LONDON, 2lst March. . The Mayor of Southport received ; a letter from An officer in, the Worcestershifed containing a circumstantial statement that Germans shot a wounded British officer in the wire entanglements after the battle of Neuve Chapelle. The officer says:— "This is only one case of hundreds I have, heard of during that attack." The German commander at Neuve Chapelle has been removed. The Germans represent their losses at 6000.
