The cutting of the selling price of coal had commenced, and transports were being supplied at 10s per ton. He was determined to get back the trade lost through the afternoon shifts strike, even if he had to cut prices. (Received March 22, 11.35 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The Grammar School, in the first innings against Geelong College, scored 981 runs-r-Sharp (not out) -506., This is a big schools record. [On Friday the Grammar School had lost eight -wickets for 943 runs- Sharp was not out with 492, and Herring 238. In March, 1909, Sydney Grammar School scored 916. The largest total score in one innings by any team was made by the Melbourne University Club in March, 1898, the book showing 1094 runs.]
