THE DACIA'S CAPTURE
DECLARED TO BE LEGAL. (Received March 6, 11.45 a.m.) PARIS, sth March. Official.— ',' The Maritime Prefect 'at Brest has pronounced the Dacia's capture to be legal. [The Hamburg-Amerika liner Dacia was purchased by Mr. Breitung, an American citizen, who proposed to Use the vessel for the purpose of carrying cotton to Germany. Notwithstanding a protest from the British Government the American authorities permitted the Dacia to sail, and to take the risk of being captured. The Allies formally notified the United States ,that they objected to the transfer from their original registry of interned vessels belonging to belligerents.]
