Against Coulls, Culling, and Co., Watkins, Tyer, and Tolan scored 61 and 47 for six wickets (Fanthorpe 22, Dryden. 17, Nelson 14 not out, Watkins 14). Coulls, Culling made 32 and 89 (Sutton 23 not out, Nicoll 18, Gleave 14). Fanthorpe, eight for 44; Porter, six for 25; BeaLs, three for 1 ; Nelson, three for 13, bowled best for Watkins, Tyer, and Tolan; and Reid, nine for 33 (including the hat trick) ; and Hoare, four for 39, bowled well for Coulls, Culling. Watkins, Tyer, and Tolan thus won by 29 runs on the first innings. At Kelburn Park Railway A played Electric Light. Electric Light, batting first, scored 89 (Castles 35, Fitzgerald 16 not out, M'Laughlin 15). Railways replied with 132 (Boyd 46, G-. Cornfoot 23, Dooley 15). Bowling for Railways, Dooley took eight for 42 and A. Cornfoot two for 32. For Electric Light, | Connolle took six for 28, Fitzgerald two ' for 31, Castles one for 43, manderson ' one for 23. The winners made 178 (Taylor 101 retired, Aitken 27, Mitchell 21, Baumber 10) ; and Whitcombe and Tombs replied with 114 (Tyrall 28, Cameron 23, Hanratty 22, Whaler 10). Bowling for Kernot's, Simm took four wickets for 19 runs and Mair four for 25. For the losers Tate took four for 45, and Milford two for 14.
