RACING AT CAULFIELD
FUTURITY STAKES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, 20th February. At the Victoria Amateur Turf Club's Meeting at Caulfield to-day, the principal events resulted as follow :—: — Alma Stakes Handicap, of 500 soys, for two-year-olds; six furlongs. —Mr. J. V. Smith's Rosatma, 1; Kart, 2; Celofcia, 3. A great finish. Won by half a length, the same distance separating second and third. Time, lmin 17sec. Eighteenth Caulfield Futurity Stakes, of 2500 Bovs.-*-M«esrs. Clark and Robinson's Flash of Steel, 6.7, 1; Mr. F. Burn's Naxbery, 8.5, 2; Mr. S. A. Rawdon's Blague, 9.4, 3. There were nine starters. The winner took charge at the far turn. He was not afterwards headed, and won by a aieck from Naxbery, who was a length in front of Blague. Time, lmin 27£ sec. Hawksburn Handicap, of 250 soys; six furlongs. Mr. J. Mill's br f Traquette, 1; Miss Meadows, 2; Golden Wire, 3. Won by half a Meek, with two lengths between second and third. Time, lmin 13^360.
