WELLINGTON v. OTHER CITY AND SUBURBAN CLUBS GOOD WIN FOR WELLINGTON. The weather was fine on Saturday, and the greens were playing fast, but a boisterous northerly made its presence felt and frequently rendered anything like accurate play almost impossible. The chief event of the day was the annual contest between the Wellington Club and the city and suburban clubs — sixteen -in all, from as far afield as Otaki and Upper Hutt. The parent club has won the contest for ten years, and on _ Saturday it again achieved victory, scoring a win by the record {majority of 133 points.
