BUSY WEEK IN PORT
The present week promises to be a busy one at the Port of Wellington, so far as oversea shipping is concerned, there being no fewer than ten vessels due to arrive. It is a rather unusual occurrence that two of these liners— the Ruahine and the Tainui, both bound from London in the mail service — should be due withjn a few days of each other. This, however, is owing to the fact that the Ruahine was late in leaving London. She is due in port early to-morrow morning, and the Tainui is due on Friday or Saturday. Other oversea steamers to arrive this week are: — Mitnho, Trafalgar, Otaki, and Kaikoura (all for loading) ; Daldorch (from Montreal), Kwinana (from Bunbury), Waitomo (from Singapore and Bunbury), Hornelen (from Vancouver), and Hallamshire (from Liverpool). In addition to these, there are at present in port the Corinthic and the Oran > completing Homeward loading', while the Waimana got away for London yesterday. The majority of the liners to arrive, as 1 well as the two in port, are to sail again this week. A fairly large number of oversea movements were recorded at the port last week.
