ALCOHOL IN WAR
A DOCTOR'S EULOGY. (TIMES AND STDNBY SUN SERVICES.) LONDON. 20th February. Dr. Earle, lecturing at the Institute of Hygiene, said that alcohol, taken in moderation^ was a. valuable soldiers' food, especially when they were fatigued. It was a valuable aid to the digestion and absorption of other foodstuffs. He said that the Britieh rations com-, pared favourably with 4hose of other armies.
