WHEAT ACQUISITION THE ALLEGED BRIBERY
CHARGES, SYDNEY, 16th February. The Premier (Mr. W. A. Holman) ha* received further detectives' renorta on the bribery rumours in connection with the Whoat Acquisition Act. ( Cabinet is giving the, matter consideration, and probably the appointment of a Royal Commission of Enquiry is pend» /ing. Before the Inter-State Commission, counsel^ submitted argument against the contention that the Wheat Acquisition Aat was intended to benefit New South, Wales alone, and that the State had no power to legislate for the benefit of other States. Decision was reserved. *
