REVENUE FROM MINES
NEW SOUTH AFRICAN TAX. CAPETOWN, 6th February. It is understood the Government contemplate a special tax on gold mines on a sliding scale which will produce half a million sterling. The Chamber of Mines has accepted the principle of the new tax.
