TYPHOID IN BELGIUM TWELVE THOUSAND CASES AT ANTWERP

SANITARY CONDITIONS VERY BAD (Received February 8, 8.40 a.m.) ANTWERP, 7th February. Telegrams from the Belgian frontier report a severe epidemic of typhoid fever in the German corps. The sanitary conditions of South Belgium are very bad, the men drinking the water of rivers where corpses have remained for weeks. It is alleged there are 12,000 cases of typhoid fever at Antwerp.
