Members of the G.P.O. Amateur Swimming Club participated in the first distance (50yds) for the Rhodes Bowl competition on Saturday afternoon, the result being as follows : — W. J. Doull, 7sec, 1 ; S. Thompson, 7sec, 2,* C. E. Reid, scr, and G. H. Gray, scr (dead heat), 3. Also started : F. H. Johnson 12sec, F. Dornan 9sec, P. Lucas 9sec, G. Little 6sec, A. K. Murray 6sec, C. T. Kellaway ssec, W. Walkley ssec. Time, 35 4-ssec.
