Lamb and Co., of Sydney. The Omaua is a steel screw steamer, built to Lloyd's highest class. The construction complies with the Australian and New Zealand laws. Her principal dimensions are 315 ft by 46ft 3in by 22ft Oin moulded. The vessel is described as being of the most modern design of the single deck type.
