In view of the agitation now on foot in Wellington for a universal Saturday half r holiday, it may interest the public to know that our experience of it in both Christchurch and Auckland is most satisfactory, and our opinion seems to be general. Our own employees appreciate the longer week-end rest. We have found that Friday has become as good a shopping day as ever Saturday was, and the trade is certainly spread more evenly over the week. We have no hesitation in recommending the universal Saturday half-holiday, and our opinions are based on experience of it. Support the Saturday half-holiday, and you won't regret it.
