In reply to the world-wide propagandist activities of Germany the British Government has made a large publishing contract with the firm of Fisher Unwin. A million copies of the penny Blue Book and ninety thousand copies of the original ninepenny Wliite Paper have been distributed. The famous Wliite Paper has now been translated into Dutch, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish, and translations in Danish, Italian, and Rumanian are in the course of 'preparation. Besides these editions of British publications, English translations have been issued of the official books published by the Belgian and Russian Government as Command Papers. Further, the correspondence leading up to the rupture with Turkey lias now been issued, and also a manual of emergency legislation, comprising Acts of Parliament. Proclamations, Orders, etc., in Council. All these publications are obtainable from T. Fisher Unwin's agencies. The final sitting of the Valuation of Land Commission will be held in Wellington at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday.
