INDIGNATION IN. SAN MARINO. (TIHBS AMD SYDNEY SUN SERVICES) (Received January 9, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, Bth January. San Marino, the smallest Republic in the world, has been aroused to indignation, which, is at fever-heat, against Germany, in consequence of a charge that a local wireless station has been interrupting official despatches to the Austrian fleet in the Adriatic and communicating them to toe Allies. San Marino has rejected Germany's demand for an examination of its wireless ' station, and insists that an Italian commission should inspect it. [San Marino, an Italian Republic, the smallest independent State of Europe, lies amongst the eastern spurs of the Apennines, nine miles south-west of Rimini, on the Adriatic. The population isi HjOGO. In 1631, the independence of San Marino was recognised, and has since "been maintained, though it acknowledges the King of Italy as its protector.3 >
