BOWLING INTER-CLUB MATCHES.
Several matches were played on the Wellington Bowling Club's green this morning. A match, between one of the Wellington Club's rinks and a rink from the Christchurch Club (which is ( pr©ceeding to Auckland to play in the' coming tournament of the Dominion Bowling Association) resulted in a win for the visitors by 16 points to 14. A threerink match played by the Wellington Club against the Napier Club was won by the northern trundlers with an aggregate of 67 points to 58. Following are the results of the different games, the Wellington Club's teams being mentioned first in each instance : — Wellington Club v. Christchurch Club : M'Lean, Richards, Magnus, Monlt(skip), 14, v. A. J. Orchard, T. Grange, M. Orchard, W. H. M'Dougall (ekip), 16. Wellington j Club v. Napier Club : Campbell, Phmmer, Erskine, Thompson (skip), 21, v. Sinclair, Wyatt, Yates, Smith (skip), 19. Salek, Wylie, Duncan, Webb (skip), 18, v. Glendinning, Harris, Williams, Oakenftill (skip), 26. Richards, M'Lean, Hamilton. Gooder (skip), 19, v. S. Harris, Smith, Williamson, Bull (skip), 22. Totals: Wellington Club 68, Napier Club 67. . This afternoon matches were played against Wo Christchnrch rinks and three Napier rinks. TEACHERS' CAMP AT PLIMMERTON Between 25 and 30 lady teachers from the W«urarapa district are at present in camp at Plimmerton undergoing physical training. The camp is the outcome of a request mado by the teachers after undergoing a course- at Masterton during the ■winter months. Miss D. Stuckey (Kaipororo) organised the camp. The teachei's are paying thsir own expenses, and instruction is being provided by the physical branch of the Education Department, Miss D. K. Heritage acting as instructress and Mr. J. R. Just as quartermaster. The teachers went into camp on Monday last, and so far have had a very enjoyable and profitable time. The ladies rise at 6 o'clock each morning, when they are served with hot cofl'eo and biscuits. Drill commences at 7 o'clock, and after a long spell for dinner, work is completed at 4.15 in the afternoon. No difficulty is found in making the evenings extremely pleasant. Tho camp will conclude tomorrow week.
