REFRESHER COURSE
FOR SENIOR DISTRICT OFFICERS. A refresher course for senior officers of the four military districts in New Zealand was commenced at Trentham Camp yesterday. and will be continued until Wednesday afternoon. Chaffoy, V.D. ; General Staff Officer, Major W. C. Finnis. N.Z.S.C. ; A^-ist.*uit Quarter-master-General, Major W. H. Meddings, 'N.Z.S.C. Otago Military District— Officer Commanding, Colonel J, C. Nichols, V.D. ; General Staff Officer, Major D. A. Hickey, D.5.0., N.Z.S.C; Assistant Quartermaste'f-GenGral, Major S. A. Grant, N.Z.S.C. Wellington Military District.— Officer Commanding, Colonel K. W. Tate; General Staff Officer, Major W. C Morrieon, N.Z.S.C. ; Assistant QuartermasterGeneral, Major J. T..Bo&worth, N.Z.S.C. The course is being conducted under the direction of Lieut.-Colonel C. M. Gibbon, 1.G.5., Chief of the General Staff, < with Major C. .K. Macdonald, I.G.S.j assisting. During the course a series of lectures will be delivered and exercises will be conducted on the ground without troops, and tactical exer--cises indoors with maps. Training pro* 1 grammes will be discussed, and also matters relating to the provision of Teinforcements for the Expeditionary Force.
