TRIBUTE TO AUSTRALASIAN TROOPS. REPLY TO THE KING'S ADDRESS. CAIRO, 21st December. Prince Hussein, new Sultan of Egypt, in a newspaper interview, stated that he hoped in future Egyptians would hasten to defend the country as readily as the splendid Australasian troop 6 whom they had the daily opportunity of-admiring at Heliopolis had done. Prince Hussein has replied as follows to the King's Address:—"l desire to express to Yout Majesty my deepest gTatitude for the friendly sentiments your are graciously pleased to honour me with, also for the valuable support assured for safeguarding the integrity and independence of Egypt. lam conscious of the responsibilities I am about to assume, and am determined to devote myself entirely to the progress and welfare of my people. I am fortunate in being able to rely on the goodwill of your Majesty and the assistance of your Majesty's Government in the accomplishment of my task."
