RELIABILITY ( ?) OP LIQUOR ADVERTISEMENTS. A sample of the falsification of facts is found in Saturday's papers under the heading of "Cablegrams." FALSIFICATION No. 1.-The cable dated Sept. 29 is an old one, and, not FALSIFICATION No. 2.-It ia now generally known that the author of statement cabled was Dr. Gagey, whose words, are styled by Prof. R oux , who ha* operated for appendicitis over 10,000, as 'Gagey s theory is, one of the latest stupidities, but not the smallest." J FALSIFICATION N,o. 3.-The advt. says that the order for' a "dry" 'U.S. Navy has been annulled since the prevalence of appendicitis. This is untrue, for only a few weeks elapsed between tho two events. The Trade a^vts. by such methods have forfeited for ever the confidence of the electors.
